In China, since the Tienanmen Square massacre, many things have changed. China has a democratic society, as well as many more basic rights. unfortunately though, the Chinese government is trying to hide and cover up the massacre from even existing. the Chinese government is arresting, charging, or harassing anyone who talks about this occasion at all. many people have been put on house arrest, or even thrown in jail as a result of the Chinese government trying to cover up this terrible tragedy. Also, directly after this massacre happened, there was many changes in the foreign policies of China. The United states immediately lessened their democratic and economic connections with them, and sanctions came to follow. In Conclusion, China was a very Changed country as a result of the Tienanmen Square massacre.
In My opinion, The 30 million people who died during the Great leap forward in China, are incomparable to the deaths caused by people like Hitler And Stalin. In China, people were forced to live and work under terrible conditions. They were also not allowed to keep anything they made. this resulted in a number of mass casualties due to starvation, because people could not eat. This is incomparable to Hitler and Stalin because They both directly killed people. Although directly executing people may look worse than what Mao did, it is debatably not. Mao knew people were dying in his country, and he let it keep happening.Overall, Mao letting people die in the great leap forward, does not compare very much to the deaths cause by Adolf Hitler And Josef Stalin.
China was controlled by communism for a very long time during the 20th century. The Japanese are partly to blame for the coming of communism in China in the first place. In 1931, the Japanese invaded Manchuria, a territory of China. This caused the people of China to turn to extremes to help with their problem. They turned to Mao Zedong, a strong communist leader, to help rid the territory of Japanese. This allowed Mao to gain large amounts of support, as well as power, and eventually take over China as a whole. This is why Japan had an influence in turning Communist. There was also other things that happened that effected this issue as well. The Kuomintang was a socialist group supported by the USSR. This also could have played a part in setting the stage for the coming of communism in China. Overall, China became communism largely because of Japan, but also because of other situations.
