Summary
The Battle of Stalingrad was one of the largest battles in all of WWII. The Germans wanted to capture the oil fields surrounding Stalingrad, and it also had the name Stalin" in the cities name so it was personal for Hitler. After almost 2 months of fighting, the Russians finally trap the Germans, and force them to surrender. It is the largest recorded battle in Human history.(2 Million Casualties)
