Summary
Operation Overlord, often known as D-Day, was the day that the Allies made their offensive push on the German, on the beaches of Normandy, in France. On June 6th, 1944, American, Canadian, And british troops landed on the beaches, and attacked the Germans. This battle was very controversial to the war, as it was said by Erwin Rommel, that whoever won the beaches that day would win the war.
