The Dawes plans took place in 1924. Charles Dawes designed them to help Germany with their war reparation struggles. The German economy was terrible, and there was no way they could ever pay off the whole debt. to solve this problem, Dawes decided to give Germany money from the USA, so that they could pay off the French.
