Summary
The Italians decided it would be a good idea to establish themselves by attacking the Greeks, But they were not successful. Thy chose a very poor time of the year to attack, in October, leading right into winter. The Germans ended up bailing them out, in operation Marita. The Italians also attacked Yugoslavia, but it was no good because it delayed operation Barbarossa and the German attack on Russia.
