Franklin D. Roosevelt was the 32nd president of the United States. He replaced Herbert Hoover in 1933. He was the longest serving president in American history, Serving from 1933 to 1945, in 4 terms. He introduced many new policies during his first hundred days as President, including the "New Deal". there was 13 million people unemployed when he came into office, and he greatly decreased that number. Roosevelt died in 1945 of a brain haemorrhage, before the end of WWII.
