Summary
After Josef Stalin died in 1953, a leader by the name of Malenkov came into power for a year and a half, but he was replaced by Nikita Khrushchev in 1955. Khrushchev began to De-stalinize Russia, by removing everything that he had put there. His first act was to form the Warsaw pact, and he began to signal a less harsh treatment of the satellite states.
