Summary
in 1952, Dwight E, Eisenhower was elected president, replacing Harry S. Truman. He promised to end the Korean war, and he began his doctrine of containment. He created a series of different organizations to try and stop the spread of Communism all around the globe. they included the OAS, ANZUS, SEATO, and the CENTO. All of these groups were designed similar to NATO, and they aimed to stop Communism.
