Summary
Herbert Hoover was the 31st President of the United States. He believed in free enterprise, an had many ideas towards making the country better after the Stock market crash. The people who were homeless lived in places called "Hoovervilles", Which were little towns of homeless people. They were named after Herbert Hoover because they blamed him for being there, as they thought it was his fault that the Great depression happened. Hoover was replaced by Franklin Roosevelt in 1932.
